Power potentiostats and electronic loads today are indispensable tools for applications in fuel cell research, battery research, electrolysis, electro plating and others. The PP-series potentiostats are designed to supply and sink currents up to ±40A at a total power dissipation of up to 250W.
The PP-series potentiostats are controlled by an EPC42 card, a plug-and-play-module which is plugged into an extension slot of the IM6 or ZENNIUM. Each EPC42 is able to address up to 4 PP/EL/XPot devices. Up to four EPC42 cards can be installed in an IM6 or a ZENNIUM system.
In total, an IM6 and a ZENNIUM is able to control up to 16 external PPs/XPots. Each potentiostat will hold all its values from one control access to the next one so that no potential or current disturbances will occur while scanning a series of potentiostats. If Automatic Series Measurements are performed with more than one PP-series device connected, spectra are taken from all modules in a user-defined order.
The PP-series potentiostats are implemented completely in the IM6 and ZENNIUM environment. Thus all acquisition and analysis techniques that run under Thales can be used as well with these modules. The installation of one or more PP will upgrade your IM6or ZENNIUM to an even more versatile high-current electrochemical workstation.
For connection of an PP or XPot device an EPC42 module is required !
