Electrolyzer

Single cell EL

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a key technique for electrolyzer research, for example on PEM, alkaline, and AEM electrolyzers. It separates the contributions to the total cell overpotential, such as ohmic membrane resistance, charge-transfer resistance, and mass-transport effects.

The EIS-capable PP2x2 series power potentiostat provides a flexible 200 W solution for electrolyzer characterization. Systems are available with current ranges of ±10 A, ±20 A, or ±40 A.

The optional PAD42 card extension enables synchronous half-cell characterization and cross-sectional analysis of the cell, allowing for more detailed evaluation of the electrolyzer cell.

The system can be controlled through Zahner Lab software or integrated into automated setups via C++, Python, or WebSockets.

The PP2x2 series power potentiostat is used as an extension of an IM7 or IM7x potentiostat.
